Holiday Ideas Day 10
Today Studio Getaway has 2 more videos for you. Both are showing how to make treat boxes! The first shows how to make a tree shaped treat box which is cut on the Cricut machine using Tags, Bags Boxes & More, Evergreen BoBunny Paper, and acetate (aka transparency sheets). I also use Terrifically Tacky Tape, a storng adhesive with a removeable red liner (aka Red Line Tape).
The second box used the same supplies, but is handmade rather than cut on the Cricut. Both are incredibly easy to assemble!

Holiday Ideas Day 9
Can you believe we are on day 9 already? Today Getaway Girl Skye (that's me) makes a card using the Cuttlebug machine, snowflake stencils, Glimmer Mist, ink, cardstock, and more! One of my favorite items I use in the video is Core'dinations cardstock, which has a core color which “core’dinates” with the surface color. You can show the "core" color by sanding, tearing or embossing.

The font I used for the greeting is called Christmas Cheer and can be found here. I used the dingbat for letter "p" at 150pt in my word processing program.

Today, Getaway Girl Diane shares a greeting card made using scraps, a Cuttlebug machine, and a Spellbinder's Nestabilitie die. Very quick and simple! It almost looks like a quilt.

Today I make a candle covered with stamped tissue paper. With a heat embossing gun, I will melt the tissue paper into the wax of the candle.

Holiday Ideas Day 3
Do you have several photos or recipes to share with family or friends this year?Shawn is presenting another great ideas for holiday giving today. She will walk you through creating a book with envelope pockets, perfect for storing photos or recipes!
She is using cardstock from My Little Yellow Bicycle's 25 Days of Christmas Line.
For the outer cover of the book, you will need 2 pieces of cardstock, each scored at 6.25 inches and 6.75. Shawn used eight A2 sized envelopes to create the accordian portion inside the book. The band around the book is 2.5 inches wide and 12 inches long, scored at 2.25, 2.75, 9, and 9.5 inches, measuring from the left side of the band. The base square for the band is 3 inches and the top square is 2.5 inches.

Kathey is up at Hyvee tonight setting up for her crop in the new meeting room. She has lots of ladies headed her way, and I will be heading over after work.
In the mean time, I'm unloading our latest order. We have replenished our Stickles. I don't know what happened, but after our open house, we didn't have any left! So ordered in some of our favorites, like Icicle and Diamond, and colors for Christmas, like Xmas Red, Green, and even Lime Green. Also in is Cotton Candy Stickles, perfect for Valentine's Day.
For those of you who are into Copic Markers, I'm pricing these new colors now:

Y17 Golden Yellow
R46 Strong Red
R89 Dark Red
B37 Antwerp Blue
B34 Manganese Blue
G85 Verdigris (this has become my "go to" green)
